One Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Owner Gets Bamboozled With Extreme Tuning

German automotive aftermarket modifier Keyvany has recently revealed its latest package for the Mercedes-AMG SL63 roadster, showcasing an unparalleled level of visual upgrades and performance enhancements intended to outshine even the most high-performance supercars in the market. The Keyvany K820HP, or the SL820HP, also marketed as the “First Edition,” features an exclusive carbon fiber body kit designed for the R232 Mercedes SL series.

The package offers a significant visual overhaul, emphasizing the new front bumper, front lip spoiler, vented hood, and rebadged grille adorned with orange accents. The gloss-black finished badges on top of the front fenders and side skirts with aero extensions contribute to a more menacing look.

Further, the mirror caps and wheels are replaced with a vintage telephone dial design, and the rear features orange detailing, over-the-top carbon fiber inserts, and an F1-inspired vertical brake light diffuser.

Inside, the entire cabin has been thoroughly overhauled, combining orange leather with white stripes on the seat covers, while the steering wheel boasts a carbon fiber boss cover.

Despite the extreme visual transformation, the package’s most significant upgrade lies in the car’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which now boasts 820 hp and 723 lb-ft of torque. While the tuner did not specify how the output was increased, they claim that this new creation is capable of impressive acceleration and speed. It is essential to note that the stock version of the unit has a 0-60 acceleration time of 3.5 seconds and a maximum speed of almost 200 mph.

However, the extreme tuning has undermined the allure of the iconic Mercedes-AMG SL63. The original selling points of the car have been replaced with what some may deem excessive and gaudy designs. If not for its branded emblem, one could have mistaken it for a cheap knockoff of the SL or the AMG GT.

Keyvany has yet to disclose the conversion package’s price, but pre-orders are now available. With the base car already priced at six figures, it is safe to assume that this tuning package will come with a substantial price tag.
