The new Jeep Wagoneer S (2024) was revealed… by mistake!

Presented for the first time through a video teaser, the new Wagoneer S was revealed by Jeep… by mistake!

The Jeep had a slight “hiccup”. On the official social networks of the car manufacturer, one of the employees of the brand made a mistake. But we can be grateful for this mistake, which allows us to experience the Wagoneer S before Jeep is ready to show us.

The company had already teased the arrival of its first electric car to the US market last week. But the short video only showed the front and only a few close-up details.

These two photos were leaked and seen by a reader of Members of Mopar, to confirm how much production The Wagoneer S is close to the concept that Jeep showed in 2022.

Best of all, we see how significant the influence of the Range Rover is in the design of this new Jeep model. The pictures show a very stylish SUV with a recognizable face of Jeep. There’s enough toughness in the look to remind us of Jeep’s true touring heritage.

All without spoiling the effect of luxury. We then notice the recessed door handles, LED taillights and black gloss detailing on the lower part of the rear bumper.

Jeep look, but refined look

The most interesting design feature is the way the rear window is curved. This brings durability and refinement at the same time. Unfortunately we cannot see inside. But looking at the outside, we should not give up on the inside.

Shouldn’t be too disappointed about the engine either. The Wagoneer S, or at least some versions of it, is expected to have more than 600 horsepower. It is enough to allow it to go from 0 to 100 km / h in about 3.6 seconds.

Not to mention that these shows should be associated with range of around 640 km thanks to the Stellantis SLTLA platform. It is enough to attract a certain customer, especially with a modern and powerful look.

First the United States, then Europe

It remains to be seen when Jeep will decide to deliver it to us from top to bottom. But it may come sooner than expected now that these pictures have been leaked.

However, sales should not be expected: we are talking about arriving on the American market at the beginning of 2025, then immediately in Europe.

For now, The Old Continent must work with the Jeep Avenger, the first 100% electric model. This is also available in oil version now, just to increase sales. For the Wagoneer S, this will be a first for Jeep.

The high-end SUV will be the first model in the brand’s history to be offered only in a “zero emission” version. It will go up against the future electric Range Rover Velar, and even the BMW iX and Mercedes EQE SUV. Perhaps it will attract loyal customers who are looking for a certain commuter side in a Jeep. It will continue.
