Range Rover Electric: more details and appearance (2024)

The British manufacturer has shared the first images of its electric flagship. The photos were taken in Sweden during the winter testing of the model, where we can see the elegant beast without any concealment! Although we have to admit that it doesn’t make much of a difference, because the design of the electric Range Rover seems to be the same as the combustion engine version. In addition to design, we also see that the engineers of the British brand did not work hard on the Arctic Circle, but also had a good time testing the capabilities of their first electric SUV.

An electric motor for each wheel of the Range Rover?

To ensure the Range Rover’s “off-road prowess” remains unmatched, Land Rover has developed an all-new traction control system for the electric Range. The brand says that “Range Rover Electric distributes wheel slip control directly to each control unit, reducing response time from approximately 100 milliseconds to just 1 millisecond. The system works in harmony with chassis control to provide a superior experience more driving.” Does this mean the electric Range Rover will have an electric motor at each wheel, like the upcoming electric Mercedes G-Class? It could be, considering the performance that the manufacturer has already announced at the end of 2023.

High performance!

Land Rover clearly wants to set the bar (very high) with its new electric flagship. In addition to this new type of traction control, the British manufacturer previously announced that the Range Rover Electric will have a depth of 85 cm. Its MLA design at 800 V should be as impressive during charging as it is during charging. Land Rover has already announced that the battery-powered Range will be as good as the SV with a 4.4-liter V8 of 615 hp and a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds! Now we have to wait patiently for the official presentation of the model to know all the details.
