Polestar Charge opens for Tesla, Ionity, Fastned, Allego charging

Polestar manufacturers have teamed up with Plugsurfing to allow European users of the brand’s electric vehicles to access 650,000 charging points, including 28,000 with a 30% reduction rate.

In Europe, but not in France

Clearly, the issue that pitted Polestar against the DS and Citroën brands in France over logos has not yet finished poisoning French electric drivers. The Polestar Charge service is currently available to customers in Austria, Belgium, Dutch, German, Danish, Finnish, Irish, Italian, Luxembourg, Dutch, Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish and Switzerland.

But not yet for French drivers. This boom in the good market is getting old The brand’s website is located in France for a while now.

However, this situation should be completed next year with the official launch in our country of a range that will be extended by three electric types of generous size: Polestar 3 SUV, Polestar 4 coupe SUV whose part is provided by Renault, and GT Polestar 5. sedan. The Polestar 6 roadster would arrive next, in 2026.

Service that gets better

Since 2020, European Polestar 2 drivers, outside of France, have already been able to access public charging stations using Plugsurfing.

The new Polestar Charge service that precedes the Continental debut of the brand’s new connected cars is integrated with a Google Maps router that provides enough charging stations during long journeys. Battery pre-conditioning can then be activated to benefit from a sufficient power flow at higher speeds.

« We know that an important part of owning an electric car is being able to charge it easily. With access to Europe’s largest networks and smart integration with Google Maps, we’ve made it easy for Polestar drivers to enjoy life with an electric car instead of worrying about where they’ll get their next charge. “, emphasizes Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath.

The first with Tesla

European Polestar drivers will benefit from less proximity to Tesla through the American market adoption of the NACS standard pushed by Elon Musk’s brand.

The Chinese capital manufacturer based in Sweden is the first to integrate Tesla stelae into its charging applications. These are of course the ones that are open to all electric cars regardless of the logo on the front.

Polestar Charge also provides access to Ionity, Fastned, Allego, TotalEnergies, etc. All this represents a large, dense network of 650,000 charging points (PDR). It is also possible to sign up for a subscription (13.99 euros per month) which allows you to get 30% text on 28,000 PDR.
