CES 2024 – Honda and Kia steal the show in Las Vegas

CES 2024 (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas is the largest technology exhibition in the world, with not only televisions, robotic lawnmowers, holograms and games, but also cars.

The west side of the north concourse of the Las Vegas Convention Center is dedicated to mobility, with many suppliers including several automakers.

Kia at CES 2024

Honda and Kia stole the show of CES 2024. Kia introduced three exciting new concept cars, one of which will go into production. PV1, PV5 and PV7 are commercial mobile vehicles.

This new Kia will go into production next year

They are on a standard chassis and can be converted from a passenger bus to a pickup or a car in minutes. The electric PV5 will go on sale in Korea in late 2025, Kia said.

Honda Saloon in production

Honda also presented a future EV at CES 2024, the wedge-shaped Saloon. The design is too extreme for production, so imagine a production design that has been damaged in many areas.

Honda will sell ‘zero’ electric cars

Both Honda and Kia are not generous with specs. What we do know about the Saloon is that it will have a range of 500 km, and a charging time of 14 minutes to an 80 percent charge level.

Turkish brand Togg

Mercedes-Benz, new Turkish brand Togg and Vinfast were also present. At Sony there was the Afeela, an electric car that was the result of a partnership with Honda.
