Rimac hints at an electric hatchback

Enzo Ferrari, Ferdinand Porsche and Horacio Pagani are just some of the proofs from the automotive world that dreams can come true. Mate Rimac also thought of having his own car brand and he too found success. Rimac has now teamed up with Bugatti to create the world’s most exclusive, fastest and most expensive things. But Rimac also seems to attract a lot of people. It seems that Rimac will create an electric hatchback.

We did not receive this information from the spokesperson or from the man in the long black raincoat. No, Mate Rimac’s Instagram channel itself is the source. The founder posted a video yesterday with the caption: ‘On June 26th we will reveal something special that we have been working on for the past five years. It will continue.’

Rimac hints at a hatchback

Let’s start with the text. It is interesting that this project has been going on for five years. Five years ago, Rimac was still on its feet, because the company merged with Bugatti in 2021. Then the video itself. In it we see a lot of images passing by while the rapper explains something about the city, which you can interpret as a hint of a city car. Furthermore, we see Jules Verne whose Wikipedia page tells us that he is considered the father of science fiction. We cannot establish a link between it and the Rimac car. Maybe he can fly?

Part of the car is passing through the picture. The car looks short and there is a clean line from the beginning of the roof to the top of the front bumper. It looks like there is some kind of damage to the roof in the back. There’s no way this is a hatchback, right? The shape reminds us of the Volkswagen Scirocco, which is also attractive. Not long ago, VW boss Thomas Schäfer said that Volkswagen is working on an electric Scirocco. What? would it also have Rimac technology along with the PPE platform?

Whether or not the Rimac hot hatchback is a Volkswagen split, it doesn’t make the thought of a small EV with Rimac products any less. And now that Rimac is already selling the Neveras in the Netherlands, the Croatian hatchback could also easily come to our roads. Or are we daydreaming now?
