Car burning at Ford dealership in Chomedey

On the night of Friday, April 26, a witness saw two people enter a parking lot in the Boulevard Chomedey area and burn a car before fleeing.

It was 1:30 a.m. when the incident happened outside this business located north of Highway 440, near Daniel-Johnson and Saint-Elzéar Ouest streets.

Arriving at the site at 1:38 a.m., firefighters from the Laval Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze, which had spread to a second vehicle that was on fire in the business parking lot.

The firefighters brought the situation under control from 1:46 am, leaving the Laval Police Force (SPL) on the scene so that they could set up a perimeter around the scene.

In the morning, investigators and forensic identification experts from the SPL were at the scene to gather as much evidence as possible to facilitate the ongoing investigation.

This is the second car arson attack in Laval since the beginning of this year.
