Japanese car brand Acura used Twitter for innovative advertising: Users can configure a model without leaving the text messaging service.

Four-cylinder or six-cylinder engine, four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, as well as body color – with these parameters Internet users can collect the new TLX model from the Japanese car brand Acura themselves. So far nothing new. What’s interesting is that they can do this setup without leaving Twitter. This is possible because the Honda subsidiary has integrated the function into a Twitter card advertising format, which can be expanded from text messages.

Later, the image of the configured car can of course be distributed. Twitter is also coming soon with targeted campaigns, reporting and new pricing for its Twitter Ads program. This should enable advertisers to improve and adjust their marketing efforts.
