Developed under the supervision of Oliver Stefani, Skoda’s head of design, this concept takes the form of an open single seat, combining design elements from the Skoda 1100 OHC and the “Modern Solid” design of the brand’s new electric models (the Optics with “T” shape, matte print “Explorer Green”, etc.).

The Skoda Vision GT concept is 4.41 meters long, 1.95 meters wide and 94.9 centimeters long, weighing 1,300 kilograms. It is powered by an electric train made up of four engines producing a total of 800 kW (1,087 hp) and 1,020 Nm of torque, powered by an 87 kWh lithium-ion battery. This power is transmitted to all four wheels of the car by an active aerodynamic system. along with the large rear wing helps to ensure better traction.

The low and long body of the Skoda Vision Gran Turismo concept gives the car a futuristic, stylish and powerful look. Active aerodynamic elements, such as on the rear wing, change according to driving conditions.

Players will have a choice between two fines

Gran Turismo 7 players can also choose between two different paint colors for their Skoda Vision Gran Turismo: one that evokes the famous Skoda 130 RS, celebrated for its double victory in its category at the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally, and the second in matte Explorer green. , the logo for the Skoda Vision 7S concept car that introduced the brand’s new “Modern Solid” design language.

Inside, the driver finds himself seated in the center of a minimalistic digital cockpit, in an adjustable bucket seat with a six-point harness. The futuristic looking carbon fiber steering wheel, tapered at the top and bottom, was designed in collaboration with professional gamers who have been fans of Gran Turismo for years. The cockpit screen displays the vehicle’s speed, selected operating mode and battery level, and also serves as a rear view mirror.

This Vision GT concept allows Skoda to immerse itself in the Gran Turismo 7 racing simulation on PlayStation 4 and 5. Thus Skoda demonstrates its commitment to innovation while discovering new groups and forms of representation.
