Emil Frey Netherlands has plans to buy Mercedes-Benz Dealer Companies (MBDB), a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG with branches located in The Hague, Leiden, Maasdijk, Naaldwijk and Roelofarendsveen.

With a history of over 80 years, Mercedes-Benz Dealerships represent not only Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and commercial vehicles, but also the sub-brands smart, Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

A valuable addition

Simon Luijckx, CEO of Emil Frey, is confident about the purchase. “The Mercedes brand is an important addition to our portfolio. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz Dealerships have built a strong position in the south-west of the Netherlands. With the current leadership, we aim to further strengthen this position.”

If everything goes according to plan and the Dutch Consumer and Markets Authority (ACM) gives the green light, the transaction is expected to be completed before the third quarter of 2024.
