It was designed specifically for owners who plan to take their BRZ to the track right away. It comes with a roll cage, disabling curtain airbags and additional oil cooler. Visually, the 16-inch steel rims immediately catch the eye. Of course, they’re only there because Subaru knows you’re going to put aftermarket rims on your race car anyway.

The air conditioning, rear seat and EyeSight security system all remain in this Base BRZ Cup Car, only the sound insulation is largely lost. So this variant remains street legal, but Subaru warns of reduced driving comfort and noise and more difficult entry and exit. Duh!
