Chery, Omoda and Jaecoo at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show

The Chery Group is showing its strength at the 2024 edition of the Beijing Motor Show by raising the curtain on the new Omoda 7, Jaecoo J7 and Jaecoo J8 expected in Europe in the coming months. If today the two products are known mainly by professionals, in a few months the new Omoda and Jaecoo SUV will be ready to start on the Italian market.

The world premiere at Auto Car China for the Omoda 7 SUV, a model that will set a new course in fashion for high-wheel drive vehicles produced by the Chinese brand. On paper it aims to win the first segment of electric SUVs, considering features such as advanced technology on board.

Beijing Motor Show, Omoda 5

Shown at the Chery Group stand, the Omoda 5 will be the first model to be sold in Italy. In the electric version it is powered by a 61 kW battery capable of guaranteeing a distance of up to 430 km and a consumption of 15.5 kWh per 100 km. In terms of charging times, it will take about 30 minutes to go from 30 to 80%.

Among the models making their debut at Auto Car China 2024 is the Jaecoo J8, a generous-sized SUV capable of carrying up to six people. Two engines are expected on the Beijing stand: the Jaecoo J8 EV with a fully electric motor and the Jaecoo J8 plug-in hybrid with more than 600 horsepower and a total range of more than 1,300 kilometers.

Presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2023, the Jaecoo J7 will debut in Beijing in a plug-in hybrid version where a traditional gasoline engine is combined with an electric unit.
