His three passengers, between the ages of 16 and 19, were able to free themselves from the wreckage of the car and were fortunately only slightly injured.

According to a police spokesman, the accident, in which no other vehicle was involved, happened around 11 pm on Ober-Beerbacher Straße near the Lufthansa-Ring intersection.

Here, an 18-year-old from Darmstadt was driving towards Seeheim when his car left the road at a corner for reasons that are still unknown and collided with a tree.

As a result of the fatal accident, the driver was trapped in the Audi car and had to be released from the car by the fire department. Emergency services took him and his three slightly injured passengers to nearby hospitals.

According to a police spokesman, Ober-Beerbacher Strasse was completely closed for about four hours to record the accident. The damage caused is estimated at 13,000 euros.

The police called an expert to determine the exact cause of the accident.
