Dodge Charger: the combustion engine is not dead


ALSO THERE ARE 6 – The new life of Dodge Chargeran era that speaks the language of electricity, but which will also include two dialects and a combustion engine. The new generation of American muscle car starts with zero domestic production version, with a pair of engines – one for each axle – that produce a total of 670 CV in dialect Scat Pack o 496 CV on the version R/T. In its most powerful version, the world’s first electric muscle car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 3.3 seconds.

Production of the first models will begin at the Windsor plant in Canada in the middle of 2024: oil offerings will enter 2025 with the five-door function (see the picture below)

MODERN REFERENCES OF THE PAST -The Dodge promise that the door of Charger in the world of electronics has not changed its DNA and wants to highlight starting with style, which avoids excess and is inspired by clean lines of the 1968 Charger. Common to all Charger models is a white LED strip that runs the entire width of the car. In parallel, a “ring of fire” is found at the back, with red LEDs forming a kind of ring. Inside ofpassenger compartmentthe console has a 12.3-inch central display along with a 10.25- or 16-inch instrument panel.

In its modernity, the dashboard recalls in its lines and shapes, once again, the iconic instrument panel of Dodge Charger from 1968. The steering wheel, with a flat bottom design, is functionally oriented and equipped with levers to control the regenerative braking. The seats are in fabric and imitation leather as usual, but black or red Nappa leather was not missing. The load capacity suggested by the presence of is very attractive the back door rear: with more than 1,000 liters available by folding the rear seats, there are more than 42 liters thanks to the front compartment (only for electric versions).

ALSO FAST IN CHARGING – In the R/T version, the Dodge Charger electricity must ensure until 510 km of freedomwhich goes down 418 kilometers in the high-performance variant of the Scat Pack. Both can be charged from 20 to 80% in just over 27 minutes: with a 350 kW fast charger, the R/T charges around 27 kilometers per minute while the Scat Pack reaches 13 kilometers per minute. Safety equipment is complete, with standard equipment such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane assist and stop-and-go cruise control. Because of the battery weight of the Dodge Charger is one of the most important: 2.650 kg.
