Automobili Lamborghini presents the Huracan STJ, a version – a lot! – a limited run (only 10 examples) of the V10 supercar of which this will be the last celebration…
STJ is an acronym for Super Trofeo Jota: Super Trofeo pays homage to the Lamborghini one-make championship, created in 2009, while Jota refers to Appendix J of the FIA regulations that set the specifications for racing cars, and a long tradition. of Lamborghini models built for the track, starting with the Miura SVJ and continuing with the Aventador SVJ.
With a design based on the Huracan STO, the new STJ represents the highest level of the model’s career with the introduction of an exclusive package designed to further enhance the “racing” spirit of the STO. The Huracon STJ is distinguished by its dedicated aerodynamic package developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse technicians, taking advantage of the knowledge gained during 10 years of driving the model in races. The STO’s modern aerodynamics have been further enhanced with the addition of the iconic ‘cofango’: two new aerodynamic carbon fiber attachments (flicks), while the angle of the rear wing has been increased by 3 degrees compared to the production model to ensure. 10% increase in aerodynamic load while keeping the vehicle balanced.
The sporty character and exclusivity of these 10 models are also expressed through two different configuration and production options, created by Lamborghini Centro Stile. The first one combines the body of Grigio Telesto (grey) with the roof of Nero Noctis (black) and Rosso Mars (red) with Bianco Isi (white) details, while the cabin is characterized by Alcantara Cosmus seats (black) and details of skin and difference. sewing from Rosso Alala (red).
The second configuration has a Blu Eliadi body (blue pictured here) and a Nero Noctis roof (black) with Rosso Mars (red) and Bianco Isi (white) details. Both versions also feature a custom carbon fiber numbered plaque that reads “1 out of 10”. Furthermore, it is possible to add a personalized plaque on the passenger side according to the customer’s instructions.
The naturally aspirated V10 has become a symbol of Automobili Lamborghini’s history, contributing to the success of the Huracan family launched in 2014 and replaced by the end of the year with a new sports car with a new engine combination. Like the STO, the Huracan STJ delivers 640 hp at 8,000 rpm and 565 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm controlled by a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox driving the rear wheels only.
Grip is greatly enhanced by a set of four race-derived adjustable stabilizers, which replace the standard components used. The shocks can be adjusted in four ways to optimize top and bottom rotation and compression, giving complete freedom of choice in placement according to track characteristics. The special characteristics of the shock absorbers allow the use of low spring stiffness while maintaining excellent control of the vehicle’s power and increasing the precision of operation. To enhance driving dynamics, special Bridgestone Potenza Race tires have been developed, made with a specific high-speed compound and installed on 20-inch single-nut rims.
These technical characteristics allowed an improvement of more than one second on the follow-up time of the Nardo technical center compared to STO. Of course, regardless of the price of this latest mini-series, it should be an excellent investment for the few lucky customers who will be able to take advantage of it…
