the tech giant unveils the street car of the future

Once again, from a country that has now established itself in the car market, comes a low-cost answer to a historic English model; interesting details coming soon.

The current car market has characteristics from a focused search for the lowest price. We can’t blame buyers if, with ever-increasing inflation, fuel prices and the like, they often opt for a car that costs less overall, rather than one with more tradition or history, that’s for sure.

Recently they are authentic Chinese brands masters of cost reduction to produce more affordable cars, something the Japanese did immediately. Those who risk losing customers are therefore European brands that will also offer traditional, stable and of course stylish cars but which, penalized by high costs, may lose ground compared to competitors from the Asian continent.

It can also happen to Land Rover lose some buyers in favor from the Chinese company Chery, a famous company that has partnered with Xiaomi; the biggest in the Smartphone industry which has recently also entered the world of four wheels has launched something innovative. Four-wheel drive offers hope to customers looking for an affordable off-road vehicle.

It costs less than Land Rover

It’s actually called the Chery iCar V23, though maybe call it Xiaomi V23 for now it would make more sense, and it is a large all-wheel drive worthy of the best buyers of SUVs and 4x4s: the car has a square design and dimensions that are all there – the length is 4.20 meters – for a car of this type. Ground clearance is also tough and clean off-road.

The car is based on the 2023 model on the i-MS platform, equipped with an electric motor. Although the media has yet to confirm, if the car uses the same engine, it would boast a range of 500 km and an electric top speed of 150 km/h. The car with its square design is reminiscent of old stories such as G-Wagon and Toyota FJ Cruiser.

The question we all ask ourselves is the same all cars of this type, will we see it in Europe or will we have to import it? To find out, just wait until the second half of April when the Chinese company will reveal everything. A big blow to Apple, among other things, given that the American company from Cupertino has never produced its car of the future while Xiaomi does not seem to have these problems.
