The VW subsidiary offers a 5-year warranty

Cupra is moving forward, the VW subsidiary is increasing its value significantly.

In recent years, it has become a good way for Asian manufacturers to beat their European competitors. A surprisingly long bond was a good draw card. Market leaders such as Volkswagen in particular have not allowed themselves to be swayed by this. Until now, anyway.

Cupra is the Spanish sister of Seat and focuses on sports cars. In the future, it should above all provide a sporty alternative to electric VWs with good character, as the Cupra Born has already emphasized. Another advantage is the new five-year warranty for new cars from the brand – alternatively up to 150,000 km.

I hope Cupra is just the beginning

Cupra is making progress in Europe and, especially for the VW Group, this is an important step in a bright future. This makes it easier to sell relatively high prices. A significantly extended new car warranty has already been applied to all new Cupra cars from 21 December 2023.

There is definitely still room for improvement when it comes to warranties on electric vehicle batteries. At least 70 percent capacity is provided here for a maximum mileage of 160,000 km or for a maximum of eight years. That’s fine, but it could be a little better in terms of point ability.
