This is the real Toyota RAV4 experience

Autovisie only tests electric cars for their range and use, we also test what they use in practice with petrol and hybrid cars. This time we test how economical the latest Toyota RAV4 is.

The difference between the manufacturer’s specifications and actual use is large for some vehicles. For this reason, Autovisie tests the actual average usage in practice, for example, air conditioning and radio. This way you know exactly how economical the car is.

Toyota RAV4

Autovisie drives the RAV4, which has both electric and gasoline propulsion. The plug-in has two electric motors on the rear axle and a 2.5-liter Atkinson gasoline engine in the nose. Toyota uses a CVT automatic transmission.

actual use

With a careful right foot and avoiding the highway, the electric range of 72 km was reached on the cold, but not too cold, winter days of the test period. The Toyota RAV4 then achieved a consumption of 1 in 15.9 on the normal cycle.

Toyota
Average consumption WLTP (l/100 km) 1
Measured consumption (l/100 km) 6,3
Electric range WLTP (km) 75
Measured distance (km) 873 + 72
Environmental label A
CO2 emissions (g/km) 22
Charge time 0-100% (min.) 150

Certainly not bad for a car of this size. You would almost forget that the Toyota RAV4 also has 306 hp and therefore can get out of the starting blocks very quickly.

Cycle of use

Autovisie tests the application independently in the Netherlands during the Autovisie double test. Please note that usage may vary as it depends on your driving style, weather and many other factors.
