VIDEO: Ride the 4 million euro Bugatti Bolide

Bugatti Bolide is crazy. Not only because of its appearance, but because it uses Bugatti’s monster of an engine: the 1,600 hp 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbos from the Chiron. It’s probably the best powertrain ever in a hypercar. So now that engine is strapped to a Porsche 911 weighted racing car.

The Bolide uses a racing car chassis and has a new carbon fiber monocoque that has passed FIA safety tests. The powerful engine and exceptional suspension are complemented by panels of, you guessed it, carbon fiber. The car is designed in such a way that the Bolide produces three tons of low power at its highest speed. Which, by the way, is 365 km / h, when the Bolide is planned to generate as much power as possible.

Bugatti builds only 40 units of this Bolide and each one costs four million euros. Top Gear is the first non-Bugatti employee to sit in a track car. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to get behind the wheel today. That honor goes to Bugatti test driver and Le Mans winner Andy Wallace. Watch the video below to see how we try not to throw ourselves into the Bugatti Bolide.
