As Maciej Dutkiewicz, the spokesperson of Warsaw Trams, informs us, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau has started its activities in the matter of the company. It is about buying Hyundai trams.

Warsaw trams signed a contract to deliver at least 123 Hyundai Rotem trams in 2019. The order can be extended to 90 more wagons. The first few cars are already around the capital, and on At the beginning of June, 19 out of 123 cars were already in Poland.

Today it emerged that the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) started its activities with the Tramwaje Warszawskie company, which informed Gazeta Wyborcza in Warsaw. The news was confirmed by Maciej Dutkiewicz, the press spokesman of Tramwaje Warszawskie.

– On June 29, 2022, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau started operations in Warsaw Trams regarding the purchase of tram shares. The company provides CBA with all requested documents. In 2019, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted analysis and information activities related to tender documents for the purchase of new trams. At that time, we were not informed about any objections to the tender procedure made – Maciej Dutkiewicz told us.

We also sent questions about this matter to the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, but so far we have not received any response.
