We respond always and everywhere – a police officer stopped a drunk driver in front of the police station – Police.pl

Recently, the senior police officer, Sergeant Michał Wróblewski, who is on duty at the Traffic Department of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Żagań, while on his way to the police station, saw a Kia car whose behavior indicated that the driver might be drunk. The police officer decided to take action, contacted the duty officer of the unit, who sent a patrol to the place. The Kia driver posed a threat to other road users, so senior sergeant Wróblewski decided not to wait for help, but to stop the car himself. The arrest took place in Żagań on Kochanowskiego Street. As it turned out, the driver is a 29-year-old man, a field sobriety test showed that the driver had more than half of the legal alcohol content in his body. It turned out that a month earlier his driving license had been suspended due to the fact that he exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 kilometers per hour in a built-up area.

Thanks to the quick and decisive action, the 29-year-old will not escape punishment for his actions. According to the Penal Code, driving while drunk is punishable by up to two years in prison.
