“We want to be the second team again”

Andrea Stella says he is satisfied with McLaren’s start to the season, and aims to take the second place currently held by Ferrari.

McLaren has confirmed its status as the third team in the field at the start of the 2024 F1 season, behind untouchable Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari, who look to be the best.

Andrea Stella, the main team of the McLaren team, does not hide his desire to get Ferrari to be the second team in the field, as was the case at the end of last season.

“We are satisfied to confirm our third position in these first four races of the season. We have the third best car, and that is reflected in the championship points” Stella’s comment.

“So this is a good step, for many reasons. The most important for me is that in a way we have consolidated the path that McLaren started 12 months ago. »

Stella notes that McLaren is preparing a major package of new features for the Miami Grand Prix, which will take place at the beginning of May.
