“We will all run electric”

“We will all run electric”

In some regions, the demand for electric cars has decreased slightly this year because the bonus period has ended and (like here in Germany) it ended immediately. That’s why brands like Mercedes are currently making changes.

But Gernot Döllner from Audi is calm about this and does not believe that this is a step back to the combustion engine. Changes may “fluctuate here and there, but the main trend is and remains: We will all be electric.”

Now it’s a matter of “not letting yourself be swayed” because “that’s the way, which is technologically clear”. Audi expects that there will be a big shortage of combustion engines, especially in 2026, and even if it doesn’t stay, it’s no longer suitable for many.

Audi maintains this and no longer wants to sell combustion engines from 2033. The last combustion engine will arrive in 2026 and will probably be the new Audi Q7. A new portfolio of electric cars is currently being built, starting with the new Audi Q6 e-tron.
