The 2025 Enclave is the last Buick model to receive the brand’s new design language—inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept—that first appeared on the updated 2024 Encore GX and, later, the new Envista and 2024 Envision. The sweeping, curved lines of the old Enclave have been removed, replaced by a more streamlined and sculpted look.

Distinctive features include a new three-hood Buick badge, updated front grille, and updated front and rear bumpers. Other prominent exterior design features include winged headlights, LED taillights, and LED taillights that surround the SUV’s rear. The Sport Touring trim includes a gloss black grille surround with inserts and “ST” badging, while the top-spec Avenir features a sunroof and overhead running lights.

Like the exterior, the interior of the 2025 Enclave sees major changes. Perhaps the biggest feature is the new 30-inch panel display that includes the car’s instruments and infotainment touchscreen. Buick says the display is the largest in its class.

Located directly below the vents is the “floating” center console. It has a rotary controller for various car settings, a wireless device charging pad, two cup holders, and a covered storage compartment.

All 2025 Enclaves feature multi-color ambient lighting, an auto-sensing power liftgate, and Buick’s QuietTuning noise isolation technology. Sport Touring versions include a flat-bottom steering wheel and unique trim and badges. Premium Avenir features include heated front seats with a Power package with head-up display, one-touch folding second-row seats, and power-folding third-row seats. The Power package is available on Preferred and ST trim.

Although Buick didn’t confirm, the new Enclave could seat up to eight passengers in Preferred trim. Meanwhile, the ST and Avenir trims feature second-row captain’s chairs and rear bench seats, offering seating for seven.

Buick will drop the Enclave’s V6 engine for 2025 in favor of a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Power ratings are 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. No electric version is available. All 2025 Enclaves use a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and come in FWD or AWD. Maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.

The optional and sporty ST trims have 20-inch alloy wheels, the latter with a machined finish and black upper inserts. The top-of-the-line Avenir features 22-inch wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish. While the ST version of the Enclave relies more on sporty ride and handling characteristics, the top-of-the-line Avenir features suspension, improving and improving ride comfort.

2025 Buick Enclave Avenir and Super Cruise available

As with most redesigns, the 2025 Enclave introduces several new technologies to the model line. A new 30-inch panel display adorns the dashboard, housing driver information and infotainment. Additionally, new safety features include Blind Spot Assist (blind spot warning and steering assist), intersection turn assist, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning by the way.

Perhaps the most notable technology is the availability of General Motors’ (GM) Super Cruise advanced hands-free driver assistance system (ADAS). Available for the first time on Buick, Super Cruise will enable semi-autonomous driving on approximately 750,000 road miles in the United States and Canada by 2025.

Notably, Super Cruise will be available on every 2025 Enclave trim, not just the Avenir. The Super Cruise package will include a driver monitoring system and automatic parking assist. Avenirs with Super Cruise will also include a rear camera mirror.

As for infotainment, the new Enclave comes with a Google system that includes Google Assistant and Google Maps and provides ways to control various functions of the car. The standard infotainment package also includes wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and seven standard camera views. The Preferred and ST have a 12-speaker Bose audio system, while the Avenir has an upgraded 16-speaker Bose system.

Although technically a mass-market brand, Buick has positioned itself at the top of the market, at the peak of entry-level luxury, similar to the strategy employed by GMC, Jeep, and Mazda. As a result, Buick’s higher trim levels, such as the Avenir, can compete against entry-level offerings from Acura and even some Lexus models.

The Buick Enclave faces no shortage of rivals in the upper midsize SUV segment. Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Kia Telluride, Mazda CX-90, Nissan Pathfinder, Subaru Ascent, Volkswagen Atlas, and GM’s Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia.
