With 45,300 units sold last year, an increase of 44.4% compared to the previous year, the Cupra Born brings real success to the Spanish manufacturer who is interested in driving this beautiful car, with the introduction of a more performance-oriented version: the Cupra Born VZ.

Cupra Born VZ, whose name “VZ” is an abbreviation of Veloz in Spanish (“quick”), has in fact been redesigned to give a high feeling to its passengers. It has an electric unit that produces a power of 325 hp (40% than the current version) and a torque of 545 Nm, transmitted directly to the road thanks to the DCC Sport suspension with improved settings, more precise handling and increased thanks to the pedal modified brake.

The Cupra Born VZ is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h, or 40 km/h more than the versions currently available in the Cupra range.

In terms of the battery, the Cupra Born VZ benefits from a net capacity of 79 kWh (+2 kWh) which allows up to 570 kilometers of autonomy with a single charge. This battery can be charged at home using a current 11 kW wall box, or in a 170 kW fast charging station. In this case, 30 minutes will be enough from 10 to 80% battery.

Sporty finishes outside and inside

Aesthetically, the Cupra Born VZ is distinguished by the introduction of two new colors (Esterel Green and Midnight Black), the presence of VZ logos in the dark chrome finish on the rear of the car, and by the choice of two new models for the standard. of its 20-inch alloy wheels.

The passenger compartment, bathed in light thanks to the paneled roof, receives sporty finishes including the standard CUP Bucket seats (already seen on board the Cupra Formentor VZ5 and Cupra Leon VZ CUP), a steering wheel with brake control paddles reborn, with a new infotainment system with a 12.9-inch screen (+0.9 inches compared to the current Cupra Born). A new 425-watt high-quality audio system, developed in collaboration with specialist Sennheiser, is also offered as an option.

Numerous driving assistance systems are finally fitted as standard in this new Cupra Born VZ. They include the latest generation Cruise Assist, multiple parking aids, and Side Assist for enhanced protection against blind or fast-approaching vehicles.

Cupra Born VZ, the price of which the Spanish manufacturer has not yet mentioned, will be launched in the third quarter of 2024. It will be available to order from June in France.
