The latest issue of Auto Motor Klassiek is once again dedicated to many great topics and reports. One of them is about the restoration that Ron Moës did on a special Porsche 911: 2.0 S Targa from 1967.

For eight years, Ron was working on behalf of the client to give Porsche a new face, to bring color back to the cheeks. Blutorange color that is. And we made a great story about it – emphatically with Ron.

“The art of restoration is the preservation of character.” That was the starting point when Ron started the restoration. In short: The Porsche was in good hands with Ron, but when he started the restoration in 2015, the 911 was not in very clean condition, to put it mildly.

Ron got to know Porsche in his own way, as well as the sometimes difficult secrets that have to be revealed to give the 911 a second life. In Auto Motor Klassiek 5-2024 he recounts his experience, how he sometimes had a Eureka moment in the middle of the night and how he finally managed to combine the history of the car’s life with new features. Yes, the irresistibly beautiful Elfer was created.

In the latest issue you can read all about the car, about the unique features that were connected to Porsche from the factory. About adjustments during life. About the pros and cons of the original engine, and why Ron, in consultation with the owner, chose to put the 2.4 engine in the car. Changed and modified of course.

This story, which is accompanied by beautiful photos (credits: Bart Spijker) that were taken during the report and important restoration photos (credits: Ron Moës) and various backgrounds, is just one subject in the latest issue. And it is filled again with familiar topics. Other reports about classics and motorcycles, old advertising section, news, columns and everything we forget now: you can read it in the latest issue of Auto Motor Klassiek. And as always, if you haven’t yet, sign up or run to the newsstand. Because you shouldn’t miss this release either.
