Goodbye Fiat Panda, Stellantis has decided everything: a new date has been set

Stellantis recently announced a new program related to the new Fiat Panda. Here’s what we should expect

All car lovers can’t wait for the day of delivery and sale of the new one Fiat Panda. The latter is a modification of one of the most classic examples of the Italian automotive industry, which has entered the collective imagination for generations. So the Panda is not a simple car but it is an important part of Italian history and, until now, it has gone through three different generations.

The Stellantis group which, from 2021, also controls the Fiat brand, has decided to change the plan regarding the future of the new Fiat Panda. Now all the attention of fans is focused on a certain date.

The official presentation of the expected new Fiat Panda should take place on 11 July 2024. On that day, Fiat will show the world a new model that has never been seen before, designed specifically to revolutionize the iconic model. So, all those who love this historic city car can be left speechless, as the new Panda will have a futuristic design full of innovations.

Fiat Panda, a new date is coming

What then could be its most important characteristics? First of all, it should be inspired by the Centoventi concept while the dimensions of the car may be similar to the Citroen e-C3.

As for the motion, this should be created by a 1.3 turbo AT petrol engine that will produce 140 horse power. However, there could be a number of variants in the future, such as the Mega Panda, Panda pick-up, Panda fastback, Panda SUV and Giga Panda.

Stellantis Group also revealed the new plan the nature of the future of quality city car. In particular, the top management of the group proved to be the petrol-powered Fiat Panda will continue to be produced until 2030. The main goal of the brand is to make the popular city car affordable for all customers.

It must also be remembered that the original plan it hoped to phase out the internal combustion engine by 2027. The petrol version of the Panda has thus got a surprising extension of its production life. The CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, recalled that the ownership intends to continue investing in Italy. And that’s not all: the company’s strategy also includes the production of various types, characterized by traditional cars and innovations in the electric sector.
