Lexus RZ: New front-wheel drive version, uncompromising elegance. Less consumption, same technology: electricity is more available

February 29, 2024

Lexus is revolutionizing the electric car landscape with the introduction of new version of RZ front wheel drive. This strategic move gives consumers greater choice, opening the door to a more accessible electric driving experience.

The RZ Full Electric FWD represents a new entry point in the RZ family, maintaining the distinctive characteristics that define the Lexus brand. This front-wheel drive model offers a lower price point, without sacrificing the Omotenashi craftsmanship and hospitality that have long been hallmarks of Lexus vehicles.

While the electrical power remains the same, and the maximum power of 204 CV and maximum torque 266 Nm, the removal of the rear eAxle and the converter used in the AWD versions has allowed a reduction in the vehicle’s curb weight. This translates into improved efficiency and thus further expansion of autonomy.

In the combined WLTP cycle, the RZ Full Electric FWD offers an impressive range 480 km with 18-inch wheels, the value of which is 419 kilometers with 20-inch wheels. These numbers represent a huge step forward in terms of efficiency, meeting the needs of modern, sustainability-oriented drivers.
