Goodbye, V10: Lamborghini Huracan bids farewell to STJ version (2024)

Lamborghini is in the midst of a major transformation and is spinning – you guessed it – plugs. At the end of this year, the brand wants to offer only electric models, which is why the classic burners will have to be removed directly. For example, we’ve already seen the Aventador replaced by the Revuelto plug-in hybrid, although Lamborghini managed to keep the V12 in the middle. Now it’s the turn of the Huracan and before you get your hopes up: its successor will have to do without the iconic V10.

On the hybrid

Lamborghini has now unveiled a car it is presenting as its “ultimate super sports car with a V10 engine”: the Huracan STJ. It officially marks the end of the production Huracan and it does so on the basis of the extreme STO, which sends 640 hp to the rear axle. However, under the motto ‘it can be more severe’, they are treated with extra duck on the front bumper, an additional tilted spoiler and manually adjustable speed controls and the result is a lap time on Lamborghini’s Nardo test circuit of a full second under standard STO. However, if that means nothing to you, you can buy it simply because of its scarcity: the Huracan STJ is limited to a production run of just ten units.

After ten pieces for it is the last to finish to the Huracan, and it’s time to look forward to its successor. It should hit the market this year and will undoubtedly do so with a hybrid powertrain, although we don’t know any details about that yet.
