Call for nominations for the 2023 New Brunswick Human Rights Awards

The Government of New Brunswick is calling for nominations for the 2023 New Brunswick Human Rights Awards. These awards recognize those who have gone above and beyond to promote and safeguard human rights in New Brunswick. Recipients of the awards are individuals, organizations and businesses whose actions have contributed to the development of a more inclusive and equitable province.

The awards recognize members of our community who have made outstanding contributions to the protection and promotion of human rights in New Brunswick. These awards are an opportunity for New Brunswickers to celebrate and recognize the efforts of those who have gone beyond the call of duty to ensure human rights are respected, protected and advanced in our province.

The awards celebrate the values of equality, justice and respect, and recognize the work and dedication of individuals, organizations and businesses that have made a lasting contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights in New Brunswick. The awards will be presented at the New Brunswick Human Rights Awards Gala, to be held in the spring of 2023.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023 New Brunswick Human Rights Awards. The categories of awards are: Individual Award, Organization Award, and Business Award. All nominations must be received by January 31, 2023.

Individuals can be nominated by members of the public, organizations, businesses and government. Nominations must be accompanied by a written submission that describes the individual’s or organization’s work in the promotion and protection of human rights, and any other relevant information.

Organizations and businesses can nominate themselves or be nominated by members of the public, other organizations or businesses. Nominations must include a written submission that describes the organization’s or business’s work in the promotion and protection of human rights, and any other relevant information.

The New Brunswick Human Rights Awards recognize exemplary achievement and leadership in advancing human rights in our province. All nominations will be assessed by a selection panel of representatives from the Human Rights Commission and other relevant stakeholders.

The New Brunswick Human Rights Awards are an important part of our province’s commitment to human rights and social justice.
