Chevrolet MPV The Car That Still Survives Today

RiderTua.com – Chevrolet may be known for its SUVs, two-door pickups, and sports cars, such as the Captiva, Corvette, and Camaro. However, they also have a number of vehicles beyond these three types, such as sedans and hatchbacks. However, Chevrolet once sold an MPV in Indonesia, which is the Spin. Although production here has been stopped since 2015, the model is still sold abroad, mainly in Brazil.

Chevrolet Has Only One MPV Car

As mentioned earlier, Chevrolet is known as a manufacturer that sells a number of vehicles such as SUVs, pickups and sportscars. Some of them are popular sellers, Captiva being one of them. Unfortunately, this model is also offered in Indonesia, although for export needs. There are still models for sale here, but not as many as before.

One of the best-selling models is the Spin, the only MPV from Chevrolet. This model was first launched in 2012 in Brazil, and a year later Indonesia got it, and it was even assembled in the country. But it lasted only two years, and in 2015 they stopped production because the demand was very low and the assembly costs were very expensive.

First Generation Model

However, the Spin is still present in the Latin American region to this day, having received two facelifts since its launch a decade ago. Both facelifts bring significant changes to the exterior and interior, although the engine remains the same. In fact, unlike other Chevrolet vehicles, the Spin still remains in its first generation model.

But at least with the facelift, the appearance is very different from before, especially the first facelift that it got in 2018. Meanwhile, Chevrolet is now considering selling the SUV for d-cab pickups, which is its base in the global market. Its presence in Indonesia is almost invisible, considering that this brand has never been seen releasing other new models.
