Cupra Born showed its claws. The hardcore version of the VZ “runs” 326 HP at the rear axle

326 HP, 545 Nm, 5.7 s and 200 km / h – these are the numbers that indicate the Cupra Born VZ. The note in the name comes from the Spanish word “veloz” translated as “quick”. Thanks to the changes introduced in this version, the electrician has found a real Spanish condition – it has 40 percent more fuel. More power than the current high Born. It reaches 100 km/h in seconds quickly and accelerates to a top speed of 40 km/h. But not everything.

Cupra Born VZ, a bit of Spanish hardcore

Electric cars may be fast and attractive, but sometimes they lack character. This is not the case with the Cupra, because the “regular born” carries the DNA of a rebellious hot hatch. Cupra Born VZ is the best in this regard. Why?

The new version follows the path set by the Formentor VZ5 and Leon VZ Cup, which means that the changes do not end with increased power and better acceleration. Cupra has improved the geometry of the DCC sports suspension and made it stiffer, as well as improving the pressure feel of the brake pedal.

545 Nm on the Cupra Born VZ only goes to the rear axle

According to preliminary specifications, the Born VZ with a battery with a capacity of 79 kWh can travel up to 570 km on a single charge, but certainly not during crazy time on the track. It can be charged with alternating current at home (11 kW) or with direct current on a fast charger (170 kW).

Cupra Born VZ also stands out for its styling and interior

How to identify “tweaked” Birth? From the outside, it is revealed by 20-inch alloy wheels and wide tires (8J20″) that improve traction. Two new colors reserved for this version (Dark Forest or Midnight Black) and emblems in dark chrome, not bronze, are also visible. .

The sports mode also comes to the interior – the driver and passenger will sit in CUP Bucket seats. Other changes in the cabin include a larger 12.9-inch multimedia screen and an optional 10-speaker, 425-watt sound system developed in collaboration with Sennheiser. Cupra Born VZ will appear on the market in the third quarter of this year.
