Cupra is a brand of the Volkswagen group created in 2016. The new cars with an unknown logo were supposed to be sportier and more exciting. Indeed, it is built on a common platform MQB Evo using blocks from the same company. To make this successful, the Spaniards convinced the company’s management to install the most powerful engines of the VAG group under the hood of the new Cupr.

But what makes the Cupra such an amazing car? It’s basically a conventional, family-station wagon, with above-average performance and spiced up with stylish accessories. This reminds me of something. And I don’t think about it at all Volkswagen Golf Rtwin Cup. You remember Audi RS6? The sharpest station wagon on the market? Cupra Leon ST wants to be like Audi. Functional, perfect for everyday use, stylish, but above all, powerful. Just a few sizes smaller.

Cupra Leon Sportstourer – what engine?

Similarity of Cupra and Put it it can also be seen in the engine range. However, where the Seat ends, the Cupra begins. Therefore, in addition to the 1.5 TSI engine with a power of 150 HP, the mild hybrid mHEV, there is also a petrol engine 2.0 TSI with a power of 190, 300 and 310 HP and a Diesel 2.0 TDI with a power of 150 HP. .

Several other fun features are also reserved for the Cupra, which you won’t find in the Seat. In addition to powerful engines, it also has four-wheel drive and four exhaust tips.

The 310 horsepower produced by the four-cylinder, two-liter turbo engine provides not only great possibilities, but above all, incredible driving pleasure. The engine revs quickly and 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox DSG seems to be the only viable option here. There is no other way. Manual transmission is only available in the version with the smallest engine. If you shift gears skillfully, you can even hear real gunshots coming out of the smoke. The only disturbing thing is the artificially generated engine sound, which fortunately can be turned off in Individual mode.

Cupra Leon Sportstourer – how much does it cost?

The powerful engine and functional interior are complemented by more contoured seats and color accents. The price also seems to be increased rapidly.
