The new Dacia Spring has finally become the cheapest new four-seater on our market again. For a car with a weak engine and after paying extra from the program “My electrician”, you have to pay PLN 49,900. Is the price surprising? After all, he is a Chinese electrician.

According to Dacia, the Spring model is an endless series of successes. Since its launch in 2021, 140,000 have been sold. Cars. However, it must be remembered that Dacia Spring is a car designed for Asian markets. It is produced jointly by Renault and Dogfeng concerns in China, and sold in many markets under various names, including: Renault K-ZE, Dongfeng EV EX1 Pro or Nano Box.

The first generation of Spring did not impress with its performance, build quality or range. This is not surprising, as this vehicle was designed as a car sharing vehicle. Finally, however, the Spring went on sale, and after a thorough facelift, it is also expected to please private European customers.

It is also worth noting that recently the Dacia Spring facelift was valued at over PLN 106,000. Zloty. Where does the new price come from? Either this is the biggest discount in the history of the Polish car industry, or someone at Dacia has gone mad.

Almost like a Duster

The new Dacia Spring debuted at this year’s show in Geneva. It received a new style and new equipment. The materials are now of higher quality, similar to those in the larger Dacia Duster. The whole car is likable, it has nice things like the front grill and LED lights that refer to other models of the brand.

Most importantly, a new engine was placed under the hood. In addition to the 45 HP electric motor (previously 44 HP), there is a more powerful 65 HP motor to choose from. However, anyone expecting a sporty feel will be disappointed. It takes less than 14 seconds to run up to 100 km/h. This is still a better result than before. The weight of the car increased by 6 kg and is equal to 984 kg. Not much, but something pays off. The lithium-ion battery (72 cells) has the same capacity as its predecessor and is 26.8 kWh. It allows you to travel 230 km, but if we consider the average energy consumption of 14.6 kWh per hundred, as announced by Dacia, the distance decreases to 180 km. However, such a small range is a well-thought-out strategy. Dacia Spring is a small and light electric car designed for city driving. This is also the reason why we managed to get a very low price.

So how much does the cheapest electric car on our market cost? Dacia Spring with a weak engine in the basic Essential version costs PLN 76,900. If we take into account the subsidy from the program “My electrician” in the amount of PLN 18,750 or PLN 27,000 with a large family card, the price drops to PLN 49,900.

The slightly richer Expression variant is available only with a more powerful engine and is priced at PLN 86,000. zlotys. The richest Extreme variant, still with a 26.8 kWh battery, costs PLN 90,600.

The car is available in 6 body colors, including exclusive shades of Safari Beige and Brick Red.

The Media Control System, fitted as standard on the Key and Display versions, is a multimedia system operated via buttons on the steering wheel with a display of multimedia information and a phone on the digital instrument cluster screen. It also includes two speakers, a Bluetooth connector and a USB port.
