DS 7 Crossback Elysee – the new official SUV of the French President

Many presidents, prime ministers and crown princes use luxurious, luxurious limousines as their official vehicles. If possible, these types of vehicles are of local production. However, the French would not be themselves if they did not focus on originality. So it is not surprising that the limousine of President Emmanuel Macron is not the new DS 9, but … the DS 7 Crossback SUV.

Since the proclamation of the French Fifth Republic on October 5, 1958, seven French presidents have used the Citroen DS and SM, followed by the DS 5 and finally the DS 7 Crossback. In 2017, during the presidential inauguration, Emmanuel Macron entered the Champs Elysees in a DS 7 Crossback Presidentiel. Now the French president is moving to the DS7 Crossback, but in the Elysee version.

The new version features a 300-horsepower E-Tense hybrid power unit, all-wheel drive and Ink Blue paint. To meet the needs of the president, the DS 7 Crossback Elysee has been extended by 20 cm behind the B-pillar, giving a rear leg room of 545 mm.
