Aceman Mini 2024: compact electric crossover

The Mini range is in full bloom. After the new Cooper (as a fully electric version with a combustion engine) and the new Countryman (also available as an electric or gasoline version), we can now discover a completely new model called the Aceman. It is an indirect successor to the Clubman, which is being retired, but this new model opts for a more fashionable form: that of a compact crossover/SUV.

Mini-SUV

The planned arrival of this new compact model in the Mini range gave the Countryman SUV room to expand a bit. The largest Mini model has become 15 cm larger with its new generation, making it 4.45 m long. That leaves plenty of room for Aceman, who sits close to the 4m mark with his 4.07m height.

Mini says it has increased the interior space of the angular SUV, with 5 real seats and a trunk of 305 liters. If you lower the rear seats down (according to the 40/60 split), the maximum load increases to 1,005 liters. Much more practical than the three-door Cooper. In comparison, the 3.86 m long Mini Cooper offers only 200 to 800 liters of trunk volume.

Round OLED screen

It is no surprise that the Mini Aceman adopts a round OLED screen, one of the trademarks of this new generation of Minis. Here too, the display measures 24 cm in diameter and serves as the instrument panel and main control element for infotainment.

Aceman E in SE

The Mini Aceman shares its technical base with the electric Mini Cooper and therefore also has two powertrains: E and SE. The first combines a 41.5 kWh battery with an electric motor of 135 kW (184 hp) and 290 Nm. This makes the Mini Aceman E very fast (0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds) and has a WLTP range of 310 km.

The Mini Aceman SE will have a 160 kW (218 hp) electric motor and 330 Nm of torque, and a slightly larger 54.2 kWh battery. This extends the official WLTP range to over the 250 mile (406 km) limit, with a fastest sprint time of 7.1 seconds to 100 km/h. The maximum speed of both versions is limited to 160 and 170 km / h.

11 kW and 75/95 kW

Both models have an 11 kW charger on board to process alternating current from a standard charging station. For fast charging and direct current sessions, the maximum power is 75 kW for E and 95 kW for SE. This should make it possible to charge from 10 to 80% in about thirty minutes during a pit stop along the way.

Price Mini Aceman 2024

Mini also immediately released prices for its new electric crossover. The Mini Aceman E is available in Belgium from 36,500 euros. Mwanasportier Aceman SE, which also goes further, is offered from 40,500 euros.
