On Great Saturday, the Beinlich Racing Team with its two drivers Chris and Troy Beinlich wanted to prepare for the IDM season, which will start at the Sachsenring at the beginning of May, at a distance of 1000 km from Hockenheim. After more than 200 laps as part of the DLC race on March 30, 2024, following the safety car phase, a fatal accident occurred in which 21-year-old Troy Beinlich lost his young life. The event did not continue.

For parents Knut and Mandy Beinlich, along with brother Chris, the task now remains to bury their son and son. According to the family, an urn funeral is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11 am. The burial place is the “High Cemetery” in Pössneck. In the spirit of Troy, mourning clothing should be avoided. “Afterwards everyone is cordially invited,” writes the Beinlich family, “to our house at Orlaweg 8. We want to tell stories and share memories.”
