FC Barcelona and CUPRA will extend their international alliance until 2029


The FC Barcelona and Cupra have added their international alliance aimed at inspiring the world from Barcelona. CUPRA will be the club’s official automotive and mobility partner and official car brand for the next five weeks, until 2029. The agreement will cover all of the club’s professional sports.

The CUPRA headquarters in Martorell welcomed the President of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, and CUPRA CEO Wayne Griffiths, who announced the renovation of the works. The meeting was also held in front of the vice president responsible for marketing, Juli Guiu, and members of the various professional teams of the club: Robert Lewandowski (men’s soccer), Jana Fernández (women’s soccer), James Nnaji (basketball), Miquel. Feixas (futsal), Domen Makuc (handball) and MatÃas Pascual (hockey).

The relationship between CUPRA and FC Barcelona started in 2019. These two organizations share the same values ​​and provide a vision of the future for their community.

More than a plan

CUPRA will be one of the sponsors of Espai Barça, bringing together new equipment for the Club. It is also a sponsor of football, basketball, handball, futsal and rink hockey teams until 2029.

The CUPRA logo will appear on the first team jerseys during the 2024, 2025 and 2026 summer tours and during international friendlies for the next three years. The brand will also be a sponsor of Barça Academy.

In 2023, CUPRA sold 230,700 cars, 50.9% more than the previous year. Since 2018, 500,000 cars have been sold. The brand has become one of the most popular in Europe in recent years.
