Formula 1 on ServusTV: top scores in Mexico / Formula 1

The Formula 1 festival in Mexico City also attracted a large number of viewers on Austrian broadcaster ServusTV on free TV last Sunday.

The concert by local hero Sergio “Checo” Perez (Red Bull Racing) was not the only real crowd-pleaser in Mexico City. Many fans also followed the race on television at leisure – this also applies to the easily accessible ServusTV channel.

On Sunday, when the race started at 9 p.m., an estimated 652,000 TV viewers tuned in. From 7:40 pm, initial reports followed 320,000 people in front of television screens. In the post-completion analysis, 306,000 fans followed the coverage.

At ServusTV, presenter Andrea Schlager was present in Mexico, as were former Formula 1 driver Christian Klien and DTM ace Philipp Eng. In the studio in Wals-Siezenheim in Salzburg, commentator Andreas Gröbl, together with Mathias Lauda and Niko Hülkenberg, reported on the 14th victory of the season of world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing).

Note: ServusTV has been the main owner of the Austrian rights in FreeTV since 2021. However, the people from Salzburg share the broadcast with ORF, which comes directly through a sub-license in every second race. Spielberg Weekend was broadcast by both channels in 2021 and 2022.

The final division of the season is also clearly defined in Austria. In the two remaining races in São Paulo and the final in Abu Dhabi, ORF and ServusTV will each have a turn, with ServusTV showing the final in Abu Dhabi.
