Gul BMW supplies 20 new cars to technical schools in Belgium and Luxembourg

BMW Belux showed its most generous side on Friday by donating no less than 20 new BMW and MINI cars to various technical schools in Belux. The cars will be used to introduce students to the latest (electrical) technology.

The management of 20 different technical schools in Belux were welcomed by BMW in Bornem to receive the keys to an equal number of new BMWs and MINIs. BMW calculated that the various cars, from the MINI John Cooper Works to the BMW M760i, together account for a catalog value of €1,383,372, an amount that can be added to that of the previous 30 donations from 2022, 2021 and 2022.

Win win

According to Charles Deboeck, Technical Training Manager at BMW Belux, the brand doesn’t just donate cars as a charity. According to him, it’s a win-win: BMW and MINI dealers, who are also investing in the project, can hire trainees and future colleagues who are familiar with the latest technological developments. The partnership goes further than providing a car. For example, schools can also access the BMW survey program.

The BMW Group Training Center is also launching a new program this year. During BMW & MINI Training on Tour, certified BMW instructors will travel to 11 dealerships across the country to train students close to home. The program is further supplemented by training for brand dealers near the school.
