Tito Rabat used Honda: pole and podium / Superbike World Championship

To pass the time, Tito Rabat competed in the Spanish championship with his team during the four-week break in the 2024 World Superbike Championship. Instead of using the familiar Kawasaki, the Puccetti driver used a Honda.

Since the end of the 2023 season, Puccetti’s team has been using the Kawasaki ZX-10RR prepared by the factory team, but Tito Rabat’s results were not the best. It was only in the second race at the Circuit de Catalunya that the Spaniard scored his first championship point in 15th place and is 20th in the overall standings.

What sets Rabat apart is not his outstanding talent, but his unstoppable desire to ride a motorcycle on the racetrack. Few drivers train as often as the 34-year-old from Barcelona during the off-season. He even once bought an expensive MotoGP replica from Honda, the RC 213 VS, or Moto2 bike. Money was not a big problem for the jeweler’s son.

Rabat clung to MotoGP for a long time despite the lack of competition, but since his move to the World Superbike Championship, the 34-year-old has left the premier class behind. Since then, he has competed in almost every series and on every motorcycle whenever the opportunity presents itself and he feels the urge.

Just like last weekend in Jerez at the season opener of the Spanish cycling series. Rabat entered the list of participants with his own team ‘Burning Tire 53’. He used a Honda CBR1000RR-R, with which he won the national championship in 2022. From the start, Rabat took pole position and finished 4th and 3rd in both races!
