In the Regional Council of Liguria Fiat 500 which belonged to Pertini – Mondo Motori

The red Fiat 500 that belonged to the President of the Republic Sandro Pertini will be exhibited tomorrow in the hall of the Regional Council of Liguria, via Fieschi.

The initiative, promoted by the Regional Council of Liguria and the organization Stati Generali del Patrimonio Italiano, is included in the Presidential Cities program and follows the steps of Modena, where Pertini graduated in law, and Stella where he was born. It represents a tribute to President Pertini but also to the historic motor sport which in Liguria has several associations, including the Fiat 500 Club Italia, with thousands of enthusiasts and collectors. Among the organizations supporting it are the Anci National Association of Italian Municipalities, the National Automobile Museum of Turin, the Municipality of Turin, the Municipality of Stella, the Sandro Pertini Foundation and the Sandro Pertini Society.

The presentation ceremony is scheduled tomorrow at 3 pm where the vice president of the Regional Council of Liguria Armando Sanna, the president of the Stati Generali del Patrimonio Italiano Ivan Drogo Inglese, the mayor of Stella Andrea Castellini, the president of the Association Sandro. Pertini Elisabetta Favetta, federal councilor of ASI Automotoclub Italiano Carlo Ruggeri and president of Fiat 500 Club Italia Domenico Romano.

The car is a Fiat 500 with red bodywork.

Sandro Pertini did not have a driving license and therefore it was the job of his wife Carla Voltolina to accompany him in this car. After the death of Pertini’s widow in 2005, the car was donated to the Municipality of Turin, where he was born, who handed it over to the National Automobile Museum for preservation and public display.
