On Tuesday evening (16 April) a serious traffic accident occurred in the Lower Saxony town of Garbsen. Two children were seriously injured.
Garbsen (Lower Saxony) – As the police announced on Tuesday evening, the 39-year-old driver Lamborghini around 7:25 pm from Burgstrasse in Garbsen towards the Schloø-Ricklingen district. In circumstances that are still unclear, he moved the road to the left for a long right corner. The Lamborghini was then thrown to the right and hit two trees on the right side of the road.
The car was thrown a few meters further. Then it came to rest on its side and caught fire. A father and two children, aged fifteen, who were also sitting in the car, were freed from the car by emergency services. According to the police, the children suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident. The 39-year-old Lamborghini driver was seriously injured.
A five-year-old child was transported from the scene of the accident to the clinic in a rescue helicopter. Two other people were also transported to hospital after initial treatment by paramedics and rescue services.
Burgstrasse was completely closed while the accident was recorded and rescue work was carried out.
