Lexus opens “Time” exhibition at Milan Design Week

Lexus opened the “Time” exhibition at Milan Design Week this year. The installation of two types by three international artists can be seen until the 21st of April at the Superstudio Più Art Center and Art Park in Milan’s famous Tortona district. Milan Design Week is the largest international design event in the world.

With the exhibition, Toyota’s luxury subsidiary wants to show how software and energy innovations can influence the future development of cars and how they combine luxury with CO2 neutrality. The design is inspired by the LF-ZC concept car, which Lexus showed the potential of a next-generation electric car.

For example, “Beyond the Horizon” by designer Hideki Yoshimoto and his studio Tangent shows the mobility of the future that will continue to develop through software innovations. The work was produced in collaboration with musician and composer Keiichiro Shibuya and also includes an indoor soundtrack. Marjan van Aubel’s work “8 Minutes and 20 Seconds”, named after the time it takes light to travel from the sun to Earth, shows how solar design and technology can be linked to the goal of a carbon-free future.
