Lincoln Prep Thunder vs. Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans

After losing their last game against North Valley Christian Academy, Lincoln Prep was happy to turn things around on Thursday. They came away with a 6-3 win over the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans. This was payback for Lincoln Prep, which lost 6-1 the last time these two teams met.

Michael DeBratto was fantastic, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with a home run, three stolen bases, and two runs scored.

On the side of Gilbert Classical Academy, Sam O’Neal was cooking despite his team’s loss, he scored one goal as they went 1-for-3.

Lincoln Prep now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they haven’t been hot lately as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Both teams are hoping for home support in their upcoming matches. Lincoln Prep will take on Joseph City at 3:30pm on Tuesday. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Carlos at 4:00 pm on Tuesday. Gilbert Classical Academy faces San Carlos at the right time as San Carlos is stuck on a 12 game losing streak.
