NASCAR 24 Hours of Le Mans at SpeedFest

American SpeedFest is strengthening its ties to NASCAR with the presence of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 NASCAR Next Gen entered in the Centennial edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans at Brands Hatch on June 17 and 18. This highlight of the SpeedFest weekend adds to the exciting line-up of the track-led and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, a NASCAR rally and numerous support races.

This Chevrolet Next Gen will be competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans about a week before the American SpeedFest in the 100th anniversary of the world’s most advanced endurance race. Seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson will share the wheel of the American car with Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button and two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Mike Rockenfeller. The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 NASCAR Next Gen Garage 56 has been specially modified to compete in the two-hour circuit at Le Mans. It will be the first time a NASCAR car has set foot at Hunaudières since 1976 with the participation of the Ford Torino and Dodge Charger.

A special Garage 56 exhibit will feature the car on static display in the popular Fan Zone at SpeedFest, allowing spectators to get up close and personal with this unique machine.
