Acura has officially confirmed the name of its next baby crossover, which will be launched in early 2025. The new Acura ADX will have a turbocharged gasoline engine, expanding the automaker’s crossover lineup to include a model positioned below the compact, mid-range RDX. size MDX, and fully electric ZDX.

The new hybrid was previously announced in January 2024, although Acura did not reveal its name at the time. The company says the ADX will serve as ‘another gateway to the Acura brand for young premium buyers,’ along with the Integra. Although no other details have been released, the crossover may share its underpinnings with other compact models from the Honda group, such as the mechanically related models of the Honda Civic and HR-V.

Acura’s All-Electric MDX Is Coming Too

During the dealer conference, Acura also announced that it is working on a fully electric version of the three-row MDX crossover. Speaking about the upcoming model, Benstock said: “They don’t want to hurt the sales of the current car. But in the future we will see a battery-electric MDX”.

The current, fourth-generation V6-powered MDX has received a mid-life cycle update for the 2025 model year. The luxury mid-size crossover features exterior enhancements, as well as the introduction of a new touchscreen infotainment system of 12.3 inches featuring built-in Google. Additionally, it now has a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and enhanced ADAS capabilities.
