The Christmas period and the long weekend ended, so MOTOR was released as a single release. Lovers of French cars are tempted from the cover with small pictures of Peugeot 207 and 208, so let’s see if it is worth succumbing to this temptation.

The Renault Megane RS Trophy was briefly mentioned on page 8 in the note that the Honda Civic Type RS set the lap record for front-wheel drive cars at the Nurburgring. Meganka’s record stood for four years, and the aforementioned Honda bettered it by more than half a second.
On pages 10-11 you will find the Jeep Avenger driving report. The car received 4.5 stars (out of 5 it is possible to get). MOTOR appreciated it for its reasonable price, attractive design and good spaciousness, considering the dimensions of the car. Both diesel and electric versions are available in Poland.
The Opel Astra emerged as a possible rival to the Toyota Corolla described on pages 12-14.
Among the five off-road vehicles compared on pages 16-23 is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. He took the last chance.
On pages 28-29, MOTOR reviewed the market in terms of vehicles that can be bought new with LPG installation. For example, Dacia supplies its cars with a factory-installed LPG installation, although some brands rely on dealer-supplied solutions. When it comes to our favorite cars, you can buy Dacie Duster, Jogger and Sandero as well as Renault Clio and Captura with factory installation. You can also buy a “gassed” Fiat Panda.

The Dacia Sandero was used for pictures showing material about where it is allowed and where you should not drive (pages 30-31).
According to the data published by MOTOR on page 35, Opel was the third brand of imported used cars in the first quarter of 2023, Renault ranked sixth, just ahead of Peugeot and Citroën, and Nissan ranked fifteenth. In terms of models, the second imported car was the Opel Astra, the seventh was the Opel Corsa, the thirteenth was the Nissan Qashqai and the fifteenth was the Opel Merita.
Among 15 city cars for tough timesMOTOR presented in that section used on pages 36-41, there are many interesting examples for you, our readers. These are Alfa Romeo MiTo, Citroën C3 second generation, Fiat Punto (Evo/Grande), Opel Corsa D, Peugeot 207 and 208 1st generation and Renault Clio 3rd and 4th generation. In fact, all these models did quite well. MOTOR doesn’t specifically recommend the latest generation engines of PSA cars, or the previous 1.5 dCi versions of the Clio III, but in general the cars described look very good. The note on the Peugeot 208 also mentions the model 2008.
In part MOTOR Retro on page 46, positive reviews of the Renault 5 from half a century ago were recalled. But let’s not be – there were also criticisms of oversteer, average trunk capacity and poor build quality. By the way, this is an interesting study at the time of bad socialism, when Fiat 125 and 126 dreamed of Polish roads, and Syrens, Warsaw and East German Wartburgs and Trabants were everyday life on the road …
And that’s all MOTOR has written about the cars we’re interested in in the current issue.
