After the A3, Audi is now also revising the top model S3 with a moderate facelift. The S3 is now technically identical to the VW Golf R and at the same time moves closer to the RS3. Most importantly, the introduction of a torque converter instead of Haldex all-wheel drive is intended to provide improved driving pleasure and more feel.

The new Audi S3 gets even more power

The modified 2.0 TFSI engine in the S3 receives a performance boost that puts it on par with the Golf R. It now reaches 333 hp and 420 Nm, improving the speed from 0-100 km / h to 4.7 seconds. Audi Sport engineers also improved the response behavior of the turbocharger and reduced the dual-clutch transmission for more precise gear changes for an overall sporty driving experience.

The modified chassis ensures agility

The revised Audi S3 also receives improved suspension tuning. Specifically: The technicians provided a more negative camber on the front axle and a stiffer skeleton. These improvements, together with the modified progressive steering and ESP setting, promise faster turning, increased cornering stability and therefore a more precise driving experience.

Optical design remains very discreet

Visually, there are only a few changes to the A3, and the exterior of the S3 has also been slightly updated with an updated unibody grille and a new apron. Four new daytime running light signatures and an optional Akrapovic titanium exhaust system are further highlights. On the interior, drivers and passengers can expect updated ambient lighting and improved decorative accents. The “gear lever”, the air vents and the infotainment system have also been improved.

Market launch and pricing

The new Audi S3, both as a Sportback and as a sedan, will be launched in the second quarter of 2024. However, prices may be higher than before due to technical changes.
