What if the Tesla hype were to pass?


It is not without a small dose of trepidation that I approach the subject of today’s editorial. I know the subject is sensitive among Tesla’s most loyal fans. However, it seemed interesting to me to share some observations about the manufacturer – still considered the undisputed leader in electric mobility. Jealous of successElon Musk, a bad need to harm Tesla, or even a journalist well paid by the French manufacturer to criticize the competition? I promise, it’s not.

The fact has already been observed for several months: Tesla no longer has the same impact as when it started. There is nothing unusual in that, all brands go through happy phases in the market and the most important times. Renault, Volkswagen and Stellantis know this very well.

The brand was used to us and used to us with all its offers and caused a sensation among the public. Each new style surpassed the previous one. Each new technology was a development that inevitably brought some excitement. Until 2020, Tesla had the boulevard to create a whole line of successful electric cars. But Tesla has stuck with a few difficult, time-consuming projects that don’t always produce the expected results: Cybertruck, driving freely, Half and Robotaxis
